Sydney Location:

A leading alternative assets fund manager in Sydney is seeking an experienced Senior Fund Accounting Manager to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fund accounting and tax, with the ability to lead and manage a team of 3 professionals. The role will involve providing services relating to all aspects of monthly fund accounting, collaborating closely with the team for Alternative Unlisted assets, and dealing with external tax advisers and accounting firms as required.

About the Role:

  • Lead and manage a team of 3 fund accountants
  • Provide expert advice on fund accounting and tax matters across the whole group
  • Coordinate the production of financial accounts for all in-house funds and external audits
  • Ensure timely preparation and lodgement of BASs, Tax Returns, and AIIRs
  • Assist with the development of technology solutions to enable fund accounting and tax obligations
  • Focus on continual improvement of processes and internal controls

Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience in a similar role, incorporating fund management, administration, investor platform, or registry businesses
  • Accountancy degree and postgraduate studies (CA/CPA desirable)
  • Strong project management and people management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work to and meet agreed deadlines
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with excellent attention to detail

Salary and Benefits:

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum

This role offers a competitive salary package, including a bonus structure, superannuation, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
