About the Role

Cumberland Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatic Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Assets, Capital and Facilities unit, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of our aquatic facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of dedicated employees to deliver high-quality customer service and facility maintenance
  • Supervise lifeguard services, facility maintenance, cleaning, water quality, and aquatic program operations
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and facility operations
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve Council's goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current Pool Lifeguard Licence
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Aquatic Technical Operations Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Chemcert Certificate
  • Relevant experience in an Aquatic supervisory role with a commitment to safe pool practices
  • Effective oral/written communication skills
  • Quality customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work within a team environment
