**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Cleansing team focuses on managing the daily presentation of the public domain within the Cumberland City Area, ensuring that it is maintained and presented so that residents and visitors are proud of the area and it meets their expectations.
The Team Member - Cleansing Crew will ensure Council’s local government area is maintained to a level that meets the communities expectations through a quick response program utilising the industries best practice. Your responsibilities will include town centre cleansing, general gardening tasks and street and laneway cleaning.
The successful applicant will require:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in general maintenance duties
- Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with peers, customers and community organisations and an ability to work as part of a team with good interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate a strong customer focus with sound customer service skills and the ability to embrace a system of change and continual improvement.
- Current Class C - Car driver’s licence
- Be able to operate multiple cleansing plant (high pressure units, blowers)
- Current Traffic Control and Traffic Management Implementer card (also known as Traffic Control Combo course)
- General Construction Induction Card (White card)
- AQF3 ‘ChemCert’ Chemical Accreditation.

**About this role**:
- There are two (2) permanent, full-time positions
- 70 hour fortnight
- The hours of work will be based on a three (3) shift pattern of morning, afternoon and night shift from 5:00am to 1:30pm, 10:30am to 7pm and 9pm to 5:30am.
- Access to Council's 9 day fortnight Rostered Day Off (RDO) arrangement
- Located at Council's Guildford Depot, with frequent travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council’s work locations
**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 4 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,064.88 to $1,224.61 per week, plus 11.5% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role
