Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist

Cumberland Council is seeking a skilled and experienced Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for performing various forms of maintenance works, including footpath, road, and drainage maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Perform maintenance works on footpaths, roads, and drainage systems to ensure the public domain is maintained and presented to a high standard.
- Work efficiently and effectively to meet both Council's and the community's expectations through a works program that utilises industry best practice.
- Operate small plants, such as rollers, plate compactors, grinding machines, and spray units, as required.
- Work as part of a team to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Be available to work overtime when required and for emergencies.
- Provide excellent customer service and demonstrate a strong customer focus.
- Hold a Class Medium Rigid (MR) Driver's Licence or be willing to obtain one.
- Hold a current Traffic Control Work Training Card (Blue and Yellow Card) or be willing to obtain one.
- Hold a General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Have experience in asphalt or concreting.
- A permanent, full-time position with a 35-hour week.
- Access to Council's 9-day fortnight Rostered Day Off (RDO) arrangement.
- Located at Council's Auburn and Guildford Depots, with frequent travel required across Council worksites.
- A salary range of $1,121.69 to $1,289.95 per week, plus 11.5% superannuation.
