About the Role

Cumberland Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatic Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Assets, Capital and Facilities unit, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our aquatic facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of dedicated employees to deliver high-quality customer service and maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented facility.
  • Direct and supervise lifeguard services, facility maintenance, cleaning, water quality, and aquatic program supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and Council policies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and facility operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve Council's goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Current Pool Lifeguard Licence.
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • Aquatic Technical Operations Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current Chemcert Certificate.
  • Relevant experience in an Aquatic supervisory role with a commitment to safe pool practices.
  • Effective oral/written communication skills.
  • Quality customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work within a team environment.
