Operations Worker

**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Waste Services team manages the ongoing successful delivery of Council’s waste collection service, ensuring Cumberland City is kept clean and safe, environmental outcomes are achieved and residents benefit from a high quality service.

The Waste Services team are looking for five (5) operational workers to join our team in these exciting roles

Focusing on providing high quality service and supporting the implementation of Council's service standards, you will assist the Supervisor City Waste to deliver Council's Community, Delivery and Operational Plans through the servicing of street and park bins, commercial waste bins and collecting illegally dumped rubbish.

The successful applicant will require:

- Hold a current class HR Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated ability to operate waste service plant and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of waste service operations
- Ability to work as a team, follow direction and work with minimum supervision
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Have and maintain a level of physical fitness sufficient to undertake all activities related to waste collection within the City.

**Position information**: These positions are permanent, full-time position, working a 35 hour week, with access to Council's 9 day fortnight Rostered Day Off (RDO) arrangement. The hours of work for these positions will be 5:00am to 1:30pm.

This role is predominantly located at Council's Auburn and Guildford Depots, with frequent travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council’s work locations.

**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 5 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,083.75 to $1,246.31 per week, plus 11% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role
