Our client is a leading global bank with a sizeable operation in Australia. They have a strong reputation for innovation, customer service, and employee development.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing oversight and analysis of the bank's legal entities in Australia. This will involve working closely with the offshore team to produce statutory financial statements, regulatory reports, and internal reporting. The role will also require coordination with external auditors and management of the audit process.

Responsibilities

  • Provision of oversight for assigned legal entity, including being a point of contact from a finance perspective
  • Provision of financial analysis and insight on assigned legal entities
  • Communication of results and issues both verbally and in written form
  • Coordination with audit (internal/external)
  • Production of regulatory reporting
  • Supports GST and Income tax

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (CPA/CA) with experience in financial services and banking accounting
  • Experience in producing regulatory reports
  • Experience in GST, FBT, and Income tax desirable
  • Exposure to general ledgers desirable
  • Motivated, adaptable, flexible, and proactive individual
  • Strong communicator who can articulate key messages
  • Ability to collaborate across finance and the wider organisation
  • Able to work in a complex global organisation

Estimated Salary Range

$150,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
