About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Control Manager to join our client's global markets team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing a team of 3, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all internal and external financial reporting and filings for all legal entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the tax accounting aspects of these entities in partnership with the Tax team, including transfer pricing, income tax, GST, and FBT.
  • Oversee GL account maintenance, including the recording of complex transactions and maintaining required changes to the GL framework.
  • Manage intercompany settlements and related allocations from the Group Finance team.
  • Deal with internal and external partners to ensure quality and type of data provided meets statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Manage the consolidation and reconciliations of data from various sources needed for accurate and timely reporting.
  • Lead a team of 3, with responsibility for their individual development plans.
  • Drive the CFO change (automation) agenda throughout the region and support global change initiatives.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities in processes, controls, and workpapers, and ensure these are well documented.
  • Support Group Finance with all reporting requirements and accounting policies/papers.

Requirements:

  • CA/CPA certification or equivalent.
  • 10+ years' experience in financial control, with a proven ability to lead successful teams.
  • Experience in process and systems enhancements, particularly with technology change initiatives.
  • Experience with accounting systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commercial mindset.
  • Experience with control frameworks and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to manage shifting priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to package information clearly and concisely.
  • Full Australian working rights and fluent English skills.
