Operational Roster Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Staff Roster Coordinator. As a key member of staff, you will be responsible for leading and managing all front-line roles that work on day, afternoon, and night shift patterns.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in staff rostering, with the ability to lead and communicate effectively with operational teams.
Main Responsibilities:- Working off daily master rosters, you will lead all roster management, backfilling of shifts & requests for new shifts across direct, contracting, and labour hire workforce.
- You will partner closely with our corporate workforce optimisation team to ensure rostering system data is accurate and up-to-date, enabling forecasting for better resource management.
- As Staff Roster Coordinator, you will lead all interactions with staff on site, including fortnightly allocations, roster changes, picking up additional shifts, and communication of available/new shifts.
- You will also lead all training and user access to timekeeping systems and related troubleshooting.
- Maintaining confidential rostering information is essential, adhering to company policies and code of conduct expectations.
- You will partner with our site Leadership team to ensure 24/7 facilities operations have adequate staffing at all times, including casual backups and trouble-shooting roster gaps.
- A high contributor to continuous improvement projects on process, engagement, experience, and systems, ensuring smooth operations for residents and their families.
- Extensive staff (direct, contractors, and labour hire) rostering experience is mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to thrive working directly with operational teams.
- Fast-paced environments are perfect for this role – you should be able to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining a cool head under pressure.
- Attention to detail is crucial, whether via phone, email, or in-person communication.
- A valid NDIS Clearance or willingness to obtain one is required for working with our staff and residents.
- Experience with roster 'bid manager' tools and online extra shifts communication is highly regarded.
- Collaboration with broader rostering teams and site senior administrators is essential for aligning, improving, and strengthening staff rostering outcomes and delivering operational stability.
