The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our operational team as a support manager. This is a permanent full-time position reporting directly to our general manager, based at our new care home in Knoxfield, Victoria. The key purpose of this role is to lead, communicate, and manage front-line roles working on day, afternoon, and night shifts, ensuring operational stability for our residents, their families, and visiting health professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily master rosters, backfill shifts, and handle requests for new shifts across our direct, contracting, and labour hire workforce.
  • Partner with our corporate workforce optimisation team to ensure roster data accuracy and enable forecasting for better resource management.
  • Communicate with on-site staff regarding fortnightly allocations, roster changes, additional shifts, and available shifts, ensuring all shifts are filled with backups.
  • Lead training and manage user access for our timekeeping system, including troubleshooting.
  • Maintain confidentiality of rostering information in accordance with our policies and code of conduct.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to ensure adequate staffing for our 24/7 facilities, including casual backups and addressing roster gaps.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects related to processes, engagement, staff experience, and systems to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Extensive experience in staff (direct, contractors, and labour hire) rostering is mandatory.
  • Ability to work directly with operational teams as the main point of contact for rostering information.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments, managing multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills with attention to detail via phone, email, and in person.
  • Valid NDIS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
  • Experience with roster 'bid manager' tools is highly regarded.
  • Ability to collaborate with broader rostering teams and senior administrators to improve staffing outcomes.
