Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Rostering Manager to join our team. As a Rostering Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring our train services run safely and on time.

  • You will be responsible for implementing the master roster for train crew, ensuring a balanced work allocation while adhering to all awards/EBA Agreements and business rules.
  • You will maintain the currency of roster data on the system, ensuring the rosters comply with rostering principles and rail safety.
  • You will ensure adequate roster coverage for planned and unplanned disruptions, ensuring all services have driver coverage.
  • You will allocate operational rosters in line with FAID requirements, and ensuring rosters cater for training, accreditation/reaccreditation, leave, occupations, special events and public holidays.
  • You will manage the IT system in relation to rostering, e.g. data entry of train crew times.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require experience in large-scale rostering environments, ideally within the transport or rail industries. You will be a strong communicator, provide superior customer service and be able to build rapport quickly.

  • You will have previous rostering experience in an operational environment, as is experience managing disruptions and supporting daily operational duties.
  • You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
  • You will prior experience applying EBA's, as is the ability to apply complex information accurately under pressure.
  • You will be proficient in MS applications and able to produce high-quality business reports by applying analytical processes to mixed data sets to develop insights.
