Job Title: Governance and Performance Professional

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our small, dynamic team as a Governance and Performance Professional. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality advice and support to senior executives and stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Foster and sustain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, providing high-quality advice and managing the resolution of issues.
  • Handle sensitive information, maintaining confidentiality and modelling ethical behaviour and practices consistent with the APS Code of Conduct and APS Values.
  • Prepare various briefing materials to the Executive.
  • Other duties as required in consultation with the Director and Assistant Secretary, Governance, Performance and Audit.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who can contribute to a high-performing team in a time-critical environment. The successful candidate will have sound judgement, discretion and attention to detail, as well as strategic thinking and the ability to identify emerging issues.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Sound judgement, discretion and attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to identify emerging issues.
  • Highly developed written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise advice and correspondence.
  • Excellent verbal communication, liaison and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Prior experience working with senior executives is desirable but not essential.
