A leading Federal Government department is looking to engage an experienced Security Advisor to join a highly skilled team responsible coordinating and supporting security clearance administration and to undertake a variety of administrative duties to support security clearance processes. The successful Security Advisor will be offered a 12-month contract with 1 x 12-month extension option and hybrid working arrangements

The successful Security Advisor will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Processing criminal records checks
  • Liaising internally and externally with various stakeholders to commence, monitor, progress and finalise security clearance processes
  • Preparing documentation for delegate approval
  • Assisting Team Leaders with projects related to policy or operational processes

The successful Security Advisor will have experience in the following:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience in processing clearance applications and managing high volume clearance enquiries and processing tasks.
  • Ability to take instruction, work effectively, individually and within a team environment.
  • Ability to interpret policy in responding to client queries; and ability to work proactively and with minimal supervision
