Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Internal Communication Advisor on a contract for 9 months with potential extension.

**Purpose of the role**:
Reporting to the Advisor Internal Communication, the Senior Officer Internal Communication will develop and implement internal communication strategies, working in partnership with business areas. This role will produce a wide range of internal content and oversee key internal communication channels, including fortnightly newsletters and digital platforms.

**Pre-requisites required**

People who are successful in this position must have the following pre-requisites:

- Demonstrated experience in internal communications roles
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing internal communication plans, including channel planning and evaluation, to support BAU, projects and change activities
- Outstanding writing and editing skills, and the ability to produce clear and compelling content.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills that facilitate effective relationships and consultation with key internal stakeholders.
- Event management experience.
- Advanced computing skills, with experience in SharePoint site management.
- Tertiary qualifications in a communications, public relations or a relevant field will be highly regarded

**Major areas of Responsibility**
- Develop and implement internal communication plans, working in partnership with business areas.
- Assist with internal projects, including consulting with stakeholders and providing communications advice and review. This will include the launch of a revised flexible working policy and a new job capability framework.
- Plan and develop engaging internal content across a range of internal channels, working with a junior colleague.
- Supports the development and implementation of a range of internal communications initiatives including internal events
- Publish content on internal digital platforms including SharePoint
- Develop strong and productive working relationships with Executive and management, business areas, and internal stakeholders.
