About the Role

Cerebral Palsy Alliance is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Practitioner to join our team in Currong. As a Disability Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients to develop and maintain independence, while advocating for their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients to develop and maintain independence, and advocate for their individual needs.
  • Deliver personalised support by assisting clients with daily living activities, including mealtimes, personal care, and medication administration.
  • Transport clients in our wheelchair-accessible vans and pool cars.
  • Monitor the well-being of clients and report on their progress.
  • Work collaboratively with a dynamic and supportive team.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of people with disabilities.
  • Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts, as well as weekend and public holiday shifts.
  • Experience supporting people with intellectual disability, high physical support needs, and medical/health needs.
  • A current NSW Driver's License (P2 minimum).
  • Local to the North Shore.
