About the Role

As a Support Worker within our shared living team, you will play an essential role in supporting and empowering people with disability to live a life of their choosing. You will provide a range of services assisting clients to live independently, be actively involved in their local community, and engaged in meaningful opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting clients to live as independently as possible by assisting with activities of daily living, including menu planning, cooking, and cleaning.
  • Providing personal care needs and assistance with medication.
  • Supporting clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through the delivery of person-centred programs.
  • Working to behaviour support plans by utilising positive behaviour strategies.
  • Communicating with families about clients' progress.

About You

We are looking for a passionate and energetic individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of people with disability. You will be a positive and organised person who can engage, communicate, and build partnerships with people.

Requirements

  • Experience in the Disability sector is essential.
  • Ability to support others with personal and hygiene care.
  • Personal qualities of resilience, empathy, and self-confidence.
  • High levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty, and respect.
  • A current NSW drivers license and vehicle.
