Our vision is to provide exceptional mental health care services to young people aged 0-17 years. The Safeguards service will operate 24/7, with a multidisciplinary team providing rapid, mobile, intensive and flexible short-term support during mental health crises.

The Safeguards Team Leader will be responsible for leading the clinical governance processes in the SNSWLHD Safeguards service. This includes embedding effective clinical leadership and support to multidisciplinary clinicians. The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications, professional registration/membership, and significant clinical experience in child and youth mental health.

Key responsibilities include:

* Providing expert clinical services and clinical leadership

* Embedding effective clinical governance processes

* Managing a multidisciplinary team to achieve service goals and improved consumer outcomes

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

- Tertiary qualifications in psychology or a related field

- Professional registration/membership (e.g., AHPRA)

- Significant clinical experience in child and youth mental health

**About the Role:**

The Safeguards service is a new dedicated child and adolescent mental health service designed to provide care to young people aged 0-17 years who are experiencing acute mental health distress. The Safeguards team is community-based and will provide rapid, mobile, intensive and flexible short-term support to help during a mental health crisis.
