Transforming Community Mental Health Services

The Clinical Leader spearheads expert clinical services, governance and support to a multidisciplinary team of mental health clinicians ensuring evidence-based practices with a focus on recovery.

  • Provides high-level clinical leadership and consultancy services to a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals.
  • Ensures the provision of evidence-based mental health services with a focus on recovery and rehabilitation.
  • Collaborates with consumers, families, carers, and stakeholders to deliver effective mental health outcomes.
  • Demonstrates high-level clinical and consultancy skills with post-graduation experience in mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements evidence-based clinical guidelines and policies.
  • Provides clinical supervision and guidance to mental health professionals.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of mental health legislation and best practice standards.
  • Collaborates with other health professionals to ensure integrated care.

Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications and current registration with AHPRA for Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists; or tertiary qualifications and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers for Social Workers; or Bachelor of Health Science Mental Health for Welfare Officers.
  • Demonstrated high-level clinical and consultancy skills with post-graduation experience in mental health services.
