Are you looking for a rewarding career in construction and maintenance? We are seeking an Apprentice to join our team and contribute to the growth of our skilled workforce.

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to embark on a program of learning and skills development as an active participant across our construction, maintenance and asphalt teams. As an apprentice, you will be involved in general labouring duties ranging from concreting, repair and patching potholes, signage and street furniture maintenance, stormwater drainage and general maintenance on Council's assets.

You will work closely with experienced tradespeople and receive comprehensive training and support to develop your skills and knowledge. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will have achieved your Cert III in Civil Construction and gained four years of practical experience in a variety of civil construction tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Cert III in Civil Construction (General) or equivalent qualification
  • Must be eligible for admission to the course
  • Prior experience in a similar role is not essential, but a willingness to learn and take on new challenges is essential
