We are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Civil Construction Trainee to join our team as we embark on a program of learning and skills development. The successful applicant will be part of active construction, maintenance, and asphalt teams completing general laboring duties such as concreting, repair, and patching potholes, signage and street furniture maintenance, stormwater drainage, and general maintenance on council's assets.
This is an excellent opportunity for school leavers and mature age applicants who are eligible for admission to the Cert III in Civil Construction (General). The traineeship will include practical training as well as theoretical requirements supported by TAFE.
On successful completion of the traineeship you will have achieved your Cert III in Civil Construction and gained four years of practical experience in a variety of civil construction tasks and responsibilities across local government.
Our construction team is inclusive and supportive while providing a range of services for our community. We offer a high performing and sustainable organization to deliver outcomes for the community through leadership, collaboration, and innovation.
- Temporary Full time up to 4 years (or for the duration of the traineeship)
- 38 hours per week with access to a 9 Day-fortnight
- On the job training
