Job Title: Scheduling and Patient Care Coordinator

About the Role:

  • This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Scheduling and Patient Care Coordinator.
  • We are looking for a highly organized individual with excellent communication skills to support the administration of patient care in our day hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Welcoming patients, collecting and entering personal details
  2. Scheduling appointments for both inpatients and outpatients
  3. Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries from patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  4. Processing patient billing, including Private Health and Medicare claims
  5. Monitoring and assessing the administration care path of all patients to ensure efficient delivery of services
  6. Maintaining accurate records of patient information
  7. Collaborating with our WHS Officers and committees to promote a safe working environment

About You:

  • You will have previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a day hospital setting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are essential for this position
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written
  • Proficient in using computer systems, specifically Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
