Health Safety Specialist
Job DescriptionThe Health, Safety and Wellbeing Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing site-specific health, safety and wellbeing strategies to ensure a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Capability Development: Foster capability and accountability for workplace health and safety among managers, supervisors, and committee members through coaching and influencing.
- HSW Leadership: Promote health, safety and wellbeing practices through active field-based leadership and engagement.
- Safe Systems of Work: Drive the development and implementation of safe systems of work, conduct quality incident investigations, and deliver visible leadership through education, coaching, and monitoring programs.
- Risk Management: Participate in risk management activities, including facilitating risk assessments, developing standard operating procedures, conducting control verifications, and leading loss time injury investigations.
- Performance Monitoring: Conduct performance monitoring activities, such as preparing site health and safety reports, developing and implementing gap closure plans, and monitoring and reviewing site performance with the executive team.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and accreditation requirements.
