Workplace Health and Safety Professional

Our organization is seeking a skilled professional to join its team as a Workplace Health and Safety Partner.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to play a key role in delivering our strategic goal of creating a safer workplace for all employees.

The successful candidate will provide hands-on support to manage physical and psychosocial risks, ensure compliance, build capability, and elevate safety performance across the site.

  • Lead safety initiatives that promote employee health, engagement, and compliance
  • Drive risk management across people, processes, and places
  • Champion wellbeing programs that make a positive impact
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards
  • Coach leaders, investigate incidents, and deliver impactful training

The Workplace Health and Safety Partner will work closely with site leaders to implement and maintain a culture of safety excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and safety strategies to mitigate risks and improve overall safety performance
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
  • Provide coaching and training to leaders and staff on health and safety procedures and protocols
  • Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement preventative measures
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of health and safety activities and incidents
Requirements
  • Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution, or Warehousing
  • Sound technical knowledge of OH&S legislation and standards
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and consultation skills, with the ability to influence and drive outcomes
