Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment on one of Western Sydney's largest and most complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Health and Safety Plans: The ideal candidate will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of health and safety plans and procedures across the site.
  • Conduct Regular Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with WHS legislation and project-specific standards.
  • Facilitate Incident Investigations: Facilitate incident investigations and support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Provide Health and Safety Advice: Provide health and safety advice, training, and support to construction personnel and subcontractors.
  • Promote a Positive Safety Culture: Promote a strong safety culture through engagement, coaching, and visible leadership.
  • Maintain Safety Documentation: Maintain safety documentation, including SWMS, toolbox talks, site induction records, and incident reports.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a health and safety role within construction, infrastructure, or rail environments.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, codes of practice, and safety systems.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
