We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health and Safety professional to join our team.
The role will involve supporting the maintenance and implementation of the global Health and Safety Framework and Strategy across the business and its subsidiaries.
You will be part of an experienced and supportive Health and Safety team, working closely with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Maintaining and updating Health and Safety policies, procedures, resources, and tools as required.
- Supporting communication of the Health and Safety Management System across the organisation, including maintenance of the Health and Safety intranet page.
- Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on Health and Safety performance to assist the business to identify and action improvements.
- Analysing and preparing reports for management where required.
- Supporting Health and Safety operational activities, including conducting risk assessments, training, and general and emergency management planning.
- Managing the incident and hazard management function, including reporting, recording, and investigating through to corrective / remedial action.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have at least two years' experience in a medium to large organisation, ideally with a background in developing consulting and implementing Health and Safety policies, procedures, and training.
You are either currently studying or qualified in Health and Safety or a related discipline such as health or behavioural science.
Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt your style to deliver messages effectively are essential.
Additionally, you will have:
- An understanding of Health and Safety legislation, including its practical application and current requirements.
- Knowledge of health and safety risk management.
- Excellent stakeholder relationship management and the ability to communicate effectively across all stakeholder groups.
- Ability to prioritise and complete action plans with detailed reporting.
- Proven experience writing reports, analysing data, and communicating findings effectively.
