About the Role

The Senior Account Director or Group Account Director will play a key senior role at Thrive, Sydney. This is a chance to be part of consistent growth and innovation with one of Australia's most revered public relations agencies, Thrive, driving earned-first integrated storytelling typically in the B2B, B2B2C and corporate space but ideally crossing into brand communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with some of the world's biggest brands in tech, travel and tourism, transport, wellness, automotive and more.
  • Lead a core Sydney team of category specialists and report to the local Sydney Business Director.
  • Be part of Thrive's local Senior Leadership Team where you will be exposed to the inner workings of the agency, learn how to achieve commercial goals and influence the agency and teams' success.

Requirements

  • 10-12+ years experience in agency or inhouse

  • A genuine lover of news, policy, media and business in Australia
  • An ability to devise an integrated, strategic PR/social plan with impact
  • Not afraid of pace and rolling up your sleeves to get things done

  • A positive energetic approach to your work and a natural solutions-focused mindset, known for managing exceptional client relations
  • You hustle internally and externally to get the job done, grow your client portfolio and deliver PR work that sets you and the agency apart
  • A proven track record of client development resulting in annualised revenue growth
  • Experienced manager of teams
  • Financially astute and comfortable in commercial conversations
