Position Overview

The Senior Sales Representative plays a crucial role in driving sales performance, market penetration, and growth for designated products. This position involves the strategic identification and cultivation of customer relationships and care plans. Reporting directly to the Senior Sales Manager, the representative is tasked with promoting products to key customers across various territories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering an exceptional customer experience to all assigned healthcare professionals and allied health partners, fostering long-term loyalty.
  • Formulating, executing, and managing comprehensive business strategies within the assigned territory.
  • Ensuring that the services provided align with customer needs and expectations.
  • Establishing and nurturing enduring business relationships with healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists.
  • Exhibiting expertise in technical product information while effectively implementing sales strategies.
  • Employing advanced selling techniques to understand and address customer requirements through tailored solutions.
  • Engaging with customers through various multimedia platforms to enhance communication.
  • Meeting established call volume, frequency, and coverage targets for key accounts.
  • Coordinating and facilitating Medical Education Meetings in partnership with relevant colleagues.
  • Utilizing sales analytics tools to craft Territory Business Plans and execute activities that optimize high-potential business areas.
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and activities within the designated CRM system.
  • Traveling regularly to rural and regional areas as well as attending sales conferences as necessary.
  • Participating actively in team meetings and business discussions.
  • Handling administrative tasks, including expense reporting.

Performance Metrics

  • Achievement of sales objectives and targets.
  • Monitoring internal business metrics such as:
    • Field engagement days
    • Call frequency and volume
    • Medical education initiatives
    • Timely maintenance of CRM entries and activity logs.

Training Requirements

  • Comprehensive training on disease states, product knowledge, and competitor analysis.
  • Completion of the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct training, if not previously undertaken.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A background in healthcare or a related scientific field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of sales experience.
  • Experience within medical or pharmaceutical sectors is advantageous.
  • Completion of Medicines Australia training is preferred; if not completed, it must be done within the first year of employment.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is essential for travel.
