Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Disaster Support Liaison to join our team.

  • This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about helping others during times of emergency and natural disaster.

In this position, you will work closely with Council staff and emergency services to provide critical support and assistance during disaster events. Your strong communication skills, proactive attitude, and ability to work collaboratively under pressure will be essential in this role.


No prior experience is required – full training will be provided. We are looking for candidates who are committed to their community and willing to lend a hand when it's needed most.


Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to incoming calls from residents during disaster events in a professional, calm and empathetic manner.
  • Provide accurate and timely information based on official updates.
  • Record and log call details and service requests in Council systems.
  • Escalate urgent or high-risk calls as per established procedures.
