
Councillor Community Liaison Officer

This is a professional role that provides high-level support to councillors and the community. It involves facilitating engagement activities, actioning requests from councillors, and providing administrative support.
">Key Responsibilities:- Facilitate councillor community engagement through delivery of engagement activities
- Provide advice and operational support to councillors as needed
- Facilitate effective communication between councillors and the organisation
Requirements:
- Hold a Certificate IV in Business or possess equivalent experience
- Have at least three years' experience in a similar position, preferably in customer service or community engagement
- Bring qualifications or practical experience in public consultation, such as IAP2 membership or certification
- Be confident in managing social media activities
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder consultation, including group facilitation
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively
- Capable of basic graphic design and familiar with the Adobe suite
- Excellent planning and organisational abilities to manage tasks independently and within a team
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
