Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Communications Advisor to work closely with our Stakeholder Manager in representing BMD's interests in a professional manner across large water infrastructure projects in Richmond. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting visits and communication plans as required by the specific Project Management Plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct visits and communication plans as required by the specific Project Management Plan
  • Ensure that all residents are aware of changes to construction through letterbox drops, web updates, and media as required
  • Maintain and manage the Stakeholder database
  • Report and document all complaints and report progress amongst the team
  • Respond to and close out all complaints
  • Produce communication collateral, including newsletters, notifications, and web updates
  • Provide specific advice on community-related matters
  • Create and maintain an active interest in community awareness throughout the project
  • Be the first point of contact for clients and members of the public
  • Assist in enquiries via email and on the telephone
  • Undertake designated administrative duties, including typing, emailing, photocopying, filing, etc.
  • Develop a culture of internal communication initiatives that promote and strengthen team unity
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as a Stakeholder Advisor
  • Tertiary degree, certificate, or equivalent industry experience in marketing, public relations, media relations, communications, or business
