About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Community Engagement Specialist to join our team at Transgrid. As a Community Engagement Specialist, you will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with our stakeholders, including landowners, community groups, and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies to ensure effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Provide support to the Senior Engagement Manager in the development and implementation of engagement plans.
  • Assist in the coordination of community events and activities to promote Transgrid's operations and initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, community groups, and government agencies.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to stakeholder inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Community Engagement, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in community engagement or a related field, with a strong understanding of stakeholder engagement principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve results.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
