About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Engagement Officer to join our team at Transgrid. As a key member of our community engagement team, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our stakeholders, including landowners, community groups, and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective community engagement strategies to ensure that our stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our stakeholders, including landowners, community groups, and government agencies.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to stakeholder inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure that community engagement activities are aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of stakeholder interactions and engagement activities.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Community Engagement, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in community engagement or a related field, with a strong understanding of stakeholder management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
