We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Demi Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at RACV Noosa Resort. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting in the effective operation of the kitchen, providing exceptional service to our members and guests, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality food and beverage experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages to the highest standards
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
- Manage stock levels and maintain a high level of inventory control
- Develop and maintain a broad understanding of all sections of the kitchen
- Follow directions from senior chefs and work as a team player
- Previous Demi Chef experience in a 4-5 star hotel/resort or similar environment
- A Commercial Cookery qualification, recognised in Australia
- Demonstrated experience in cookery and well-developed knife skills
- Solid knowledge of kitchen sections, service styles, mis en place procedures, food items, cookery techniques, sauces, cold larder, vegetables, and butchery
- Thrive in a large, busy, and fast-paced work environment
- The ability to comfortably lift 20kgs and perform repetitive manual tasks safely
