About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Demi Chef to join our talented team of chefs at RACV Noosa Resort in the beautiful Sunshine Coast, QLD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the effective operation of the Kitchen, working as a team with other Kitchen staff to provide high-quality service to our members and guests.
  • Perform knife skills, mis en place, cooking techniques, and duties to maintain a consistent high-quality product.
  • Maintain equipment, utensils, and a clean and hygienic kitchen, managing the regular rotation of stock to minimize wastage.
  • Continually update knowledge and skills in procedures and techniques, gaining a broad understanding of all sections of the Kitchen.
  • Follow directions from senior chefs and work as a team player.
Requirements
  • Previous Demi Chef experience in a 4-5 star hotel/resort or similar environment.
  • A Commercial Cookery qualification, recognized in Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in cookery and well-developed knife skills.
  • Solid knowledge of kitchen sections, service styles, mis en place procedures, food items, cookery techniques, sauces, cold larder, vegetables, and butchery.
  • Thrive in a large, busy, and fast-paced work environment.
  • The ability to comfortably lift 20kgs and perform repetitive manual tasks safely.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
