Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, an international 5-star hotel, is seeking a talented Account Director - Meeting & Events to maximise market position and drive sales growth.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing a portfolio of accounts, submitting reports on sales activities, and providing market intelligence to support business development. With a strong background in reactive and proactive sales, conference and events marketing, and customer relationship management, this individual will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities and driving revenue growth.

We are looking for someone with exceptional communication skills, a demonstrated understanding of the sales process for large events, and the ability to manage competing deadlines. Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage an agreed portfolio of accounts to maximise sales growth
  • Submit regular reports on sales activities, competitor information, and market trends
  • Provide market intelligence to support business development
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to drive revenue growth

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in reactive and proactive sales, conference and events marketing, or customer relationship management
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients
  • Demonstrated understanding of the sales process for large events
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines
