Award-winning Australian Luxury Fashion Brand Seeks Talented Buyer

The Role |

We are seeking a skilled and experienced retail buyer to join our team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading Australian luxury brand, renowned for their original prints and sophisticated design.

As a retail buyer, you will be responsible for buying existing product lines, utilizing sound analytics combined with innovative ideas to provide strategic growth plans. You will also have the opportunity to work on pre- and in-season range development, consulting with designers and providing regular feedback on sales, trends, competitors, and areas of opportunity.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Range Building – Collaborating with designers to develop and align product strategy based on business performance and company/global market analysis.
  • Buying – Buying for global business, managing OTB from end to end, and developing strategies to maximize opportunities by market.
  • Pre & In Season Management – Working with buying & planning managers to identify opportunities based on sales performance and participating in international and domestic store visits.
  • Reporting – Providing weekly and monthly analysis of all retail reporting, seasonal analysis by collection, and compiling EOS summaries.

The Ideal Candidate |

We are looking for a candidate with 4-5 years of retail buying experience gained within a fashion and/or luxury environment. Ideally, you will have experience working with an international brand with 50 plus stores and a strong eye for luxury products.

You should possess commercial awareness and strong business acumen, with the ability to drive results and forecast sales. Proficient in Excel, with a demonstrated ability to create excel-based reports and templates, is essential. Experience with a retail management system like AP21 is a plus.
