This full-time position operates on a 7-day roster consisting of weekend work, morning and evening shifts and public holidays. We offer an estimated salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, demonstrating a positive and professional style in all interactions. They will thrive in both small team settings and working independently, with strong time management and prioritisation skills. Proven collaboration skills are also essential, working closely with peers, broadcast engineers, producers, technical directors, and on-air talent to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth operations.

About the role:

  • Set up and operate camera and audio equipment for live news broadcasts, including live crosses and pre-recorded shoots.
  • Assist with the setup and operation of additional broadcast equipment, such as video, audio, transmission, and communications infrastructure.
  • Operate drones for live sports coverage and other programming needs (training provided).
