The ideal candidate will have a qualification in addiction or community development, experience working with diverse groups, and strong communication skills.
- Operate outreach programs, providing equipment, information, and education
- Provide harm reduction education and advocacy
- Build relationships with service users and community agencies
- Support service users to navigate health and community services
- Qualification in AOD, Community Development, or Social Work (Cert IV+ with 2 years' experience)
- Knowledge of health and social issues for PWUD
- Experience engaging respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy and ability to work independently
- Compliance with WWCC, NCCHC, and Immunisation Category A requirements
