Community Outreach Worker

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Community Outreach Worker. This role will provide vital harm reduction services to individuals who use drugs, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
As a Community Outreach Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Providing outreach services to support individuals in need, including harm reduction education and advocacy
- Building relationships with service users, carers, clinicians, and community agencies to facilitate referrals and linkages to essential services
- Navigating health and community services on behalf of clients, ensuring they receive timely and effective support
Harm Reduction Services
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of harm reduction principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants should possess:
- A diploma or degree in a relevant field, such as social work or public health
- Experience working with marginalized communities and individuals who use drugs
- Strong knowledge of harm reduction principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
