About The Role…

Reporting to the Area Manager Care Finder & Community Engagement, you will develop and deliver engagement strategies that support our growth, and ensure our services remain responsive to the needs of the community.

The Community Engagement Officer is responsible for building strong, meaningful connections with the community to enhance awareness, participation, and trust in Care Connects services. By working closely with the client services team including Aged Care Operations, Marketing and Client Experience teams, the role ensures that outreach initiatives align with the organisation's brand, values, and service capabilities. This position is essential to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of community engagement strategies that are inclusive, responsive, and reflective of the diverse experiences and needs of older adults and their caregivers.

This full-time, permanent position is based at our Abbotsford, Vic office, with hybrid working arrangements available.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • A tertiary qualification in Community Development, PR/ Communications, Social Work or Human Service, Health Promotion, Marketing (with community focus), Aged Care or related Health Sciences
  • IAP2 Certificate of Engagement would be highly regarded
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in community engagement or outreach roles
  • Extensive knowledge of client aged care journey, including CHSP, Home Care Packages and residential care
  • Proven presentation skills (in person and virtually)
  • Experience in working with CALD groups, complex clients and with interpreters
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate engagement outcome
  • Some interstate travel, current drivers licence & own car will be required.

To be considered for this role you must have full Australian working rights, current Police & Working With Children Checks - we can arrange police checks for successful candidates. Our selection process also includes psychometric assessment.
