Regional Mental Health Outreach Specialist

This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity for an empathetic and self-motivated professional to deliver high-quality support services across the East Gippsland region.
About the Role:You will work with individuals living with mental health issues in the community to achieve their recovery goals, build confidence, strengthen social connections, and live independently.
- Deliver outreach services, case managed responses, and facilitate positive educational and social experiences.
- Plan and deliver group programs that aid people to build their skills and focus on recovery.
- Use strengths-based, recovery-oriented approaches to help individuals develop daily living skills, capacity, and resilience.
- Provide information and mentoring to individuals to establish connections with community, families, and carers, create networks, and access relevant services.
Key qualifications include tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health-related fields.
Requirements:- Expertise in working with individuals with mental health issues, complex needs, and interacting with families and carers.
- Experience applying therapeutic approaches such as trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing, harm reduction, and family-inclusive practice.
- Ability to co-design, co-produce, and co-facilitate groups and educational programs.
- Willingness and ability to provide evidence of COVID-19 vaccinations.
