Occupational Rehabilitation Specialists work with clients to develop and implement tailored rehabilitation plans. Their focus is on supporting individuals in their journey from injury to recovery, promoting independence and empowering them to achieve their goals.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in occupational rehabilitation to drive positive outcomes for clients. You will have the chance to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and support.

  • Leverage your networks and industry knowledge to identify new opportunities for return to work
  • Develop and nurture relationships with employers seeking support for injured workers
  • Provide case management services for clients requiring physical and/or psychological support to return to employment
  • Take a holistic approach to care, establishing key relationships with health professionals and working within a multidisciplinary team to support the rehabilitation process
  • Perform assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise, including functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, employers, medical specialists and allied health professionals to develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans

  • Perform assessments and develop rehabilitation plans
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of rehabilitation plans

Requirements:

  • Current unrestricted (or eligibility for) registration or membership with the relevant industry body
  • Ongoing occupational rehabilitation experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or Nursing
  • Strong clinical reasoning skills
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal
  • Passion to help people rehabilitate
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
