Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced occupational rehabilitation specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy, physiotherapy or exercise physiology and be registered with the relevant industry body.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your networks and industry knowledge to identify new return to work opportunities
  • Develop and nurture relationships with employers seeking return to work support for their organisation
  • Case management for injured workers who are needing physical and/or psychological support to return them back to employment
  • Taking a holistic approach, establish key relationships with health professionals and work within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing
  • Perform various assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including the injured employee, employer, medical specialists and other allied health professionals to develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans

Requirements:

  • Current registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA)
  • Occupational rehabilitation experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or Nursing
  • Strong clinical reasoning
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal
  • Passion to help people rehabilitate
