Procurement Expert – Strategic Sourcing

As a Procurement Expert – Strategic Sourcing, you will support sourcing activity across corporate indirect categories, including professional services, facilities management, legal services, insurance, marketing, banking, consulting, and other related services.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with senior business stakeholders and the Senior Procurement Manager to shape commercial strategies and deliver great business outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with the business to understand business objectives and desired outcomes.
  • Supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of category management plans.
  • Supporting the end-to-end procurement process, including stakeholder engagement, strategy development, baseline validation, tender management, supplier negotiations, contract finalisation, supplier, and contract management.
  • Negotiating commercial terms to deliver best value outcomes.
  • Consolidating the supplier base through negotiating appropriate commercial supplier arrangements and/or strategic partnerships.
  • Supporting the implementation of strategic relationship management for nominated suppliers.

You'll be a great fit if you have:

  • At least five years of procurement experience in a similar industry or related spend categories.
  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or a related field.
  • In-depth sourcing experience and proven proficiency managing major spend categories.
  • Knowledge of the sourcing process and skilled with technology-based systems, including spend analytics.
  • Impeccable ethics, both professionally and personally.
  • A track record of contributing to the evolution of supply chain processes and/or continuous improvement of strategic sourcing and category management programs.
  • Strong analytical, business process analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
