About the Role

The Procurement Sourcing Specialist will play a pivotal role in VGA, responsible for sourcing services and supporting procurement projects as required. Reporting to the Group Head of Procurement, this position will focus on strategic sourcing initiatives aligned with broader business objectives and facilitate go-to-market RFx processes in accordance with Group and VGA company policies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for assigned categories/services/projects, driving value for VGA through cost optimization and performance improvement.
  • Provide comprehensive contract management support, encompassing contract drafting, internal approval processes, execution, and record management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor escalations, fostering long-term supplier innovation and partnerships.
  • Offer expert advice to stakeholders on procurement insights and requirements for new initiatives, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Maintain adherence to Group Procurement policies and procedures, code of conduct, ethical practices, industry principles, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Deliver regular spend analysis, contract reports, and other necessary reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage a rolling initiative pipeline to track delivered and projected savings, demonstrating the impact of strategic sourcing efforts.

About You

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as commerce, economics, law, or engineering.
  • Significant experience within procurement, sourcing, category management, or projects backgrounds.
  • A strong passion for the automotive industry or understanding of its principles.
  • Expertise in managing competitive tenders and negotiations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with professional, collaborative, and influential stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
