Job Title: Security Engineer - ICT Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our team in Canberra. As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and developing ICT system security activities, achieving an Authority to Operate (ATO), and developing a System Security Plan (SSP).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop ICT system security activities to ensure compliance with security requirements.
  • Achieve an Authority to Operate (ATO) by assessing and mitigating security risks.
  • Develop a System Security Plan (SSP) to ensure the security of ICT systems.
  • Assess compliance with ICT security requirements and lead the application and compliance of security operations procedures.
  • Negotiate with ICT engineers and ICT Security to develop and approve Concept of Operations, SSPs, and Executive Briefs.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in ICT security activities with a focus on Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • High level of knowledge on ICT security threat and risk assessments and the ability to recommend mitigation/remediation strategies.
  • Experience in production of complex technical documentation.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
  • Formal training/professional certification (e.g. IRAP Assessors).
