Your primary responsibilities will include the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of various cyber security solutions and technologies. This encompasses Host Based Security Products (such as AV, HIPS, DLP, EDR), SIEM, Network IPS, and associated management tools. A significant aspect of the team’s focus is the continuous implementation and upkeep of Application Whitelisting within a multifaceted environment, alongside the automation of current security workflows.
As a key engineer within the broader team, your proficiency in these technologies and security methodologies will enable you to mentor and guide a dedicated 24/7 team of SOC Analysts who rely on the tools and systems you provide.
This role operates under general guidance to ensure the delivery of secure services to the program.
QualificationsAbout You and Your Contributions
You are an experienced Cyber Security Engineer with a minimum of three years of expertise in cyber products and technologies, along with a proven track record of resolving intricate technical challenges. Experience in a complex enterprise setting is advantageous, and your professional certifications (such as SANS, ISACA, Offensive Security) will be highly regarded. Familiarity with Linux/Wintel and/or networking disciplines will further enhance your success in this role.
Alongside your educational background and hands-on experience, you will exhibit a proactive, 'can-do' attitude, with the capability to comprehend business needs, identify challenges, and cultivate relationships to fulfill Leidos' objectives. Your exceptional communication, technical, and interpersonal skills will allow you to work independently while also contributing as a valued team member.
As part of an evolving practice, we encourage your initiative in refining and enhancing our systems and procedures. Given the extensive nature of this defense program, your ability to build positive working relationships with various stakeholders will be crucial.
Additional InformationThis position requires the successful candidate to be an Australian Citizen with a current NV1 clearance and the capability to obtain NV2 clearance.
