Remote Community Educator

We are seeking a qualified Lecturer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of language, literacy and numeracy training in remote Aboriginal homeland communities.
The successful candidate will be experienced in culturally sensitive teaching practices and have a strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and communities.
This is a full-time short-term contract until 19 December 2025, requiring regular travel to remote locations. A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) is mandatory prior to employment.
About the RoleKey Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching services to adult learners, focusing on Indigenous and English as a Second Language programs.
- Collaborate with Aboriginal staff and clients to develop and implement effective training solutions.
- Maintain accurate records and meet reporting requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in teaching or training, with a focus on Indigenous education.
- A Bachelor degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Linguistics, Indigenous Studies).
- An understanding of and experience working with Indigenous cultures and communities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master degree in a relevant field.
- Tertiary qualifications in Adult Education or Training and Assessment.
- Experience in delivering training programs in remote areas.
