Language Training Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced educator to deliver language, literacy and numeracy training to adult learners in remote Aboriginal communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality language training programs to adults in a culturally sensitive manner
  • Travel to remote Aboriginal communities via unsealed roads
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with community members
  • Manage own health and wellbeing while working in a remote location
  • Hold a valid National Police Clearance for APY Lands Permit
  • Be eligible to work in Australia

Requirements

  • Meet the qualification requirements outlined in the Role Descriptor and Industry Addendum
  • Be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances in a remote environment
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions

The successful applicant will be required to travel frequently to remote communities, managing their own accommodation and meal arrangements. They will also be expected to manage their own health and wellbeing in a challenging environment.
