Dental Specialist for Remote NT Communities

The Northern Territory Remote Locum Program is a unique workforce initiative dedicated to enhancing healthcare services in remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
We are seeking experienced dentists to provide dental treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities. This locum-based role offers short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.
This opportunity provides a chance to immerse yourself in Aboriginal culture and explore Australia's breathtaking remote landscapes while contributing to the health and wellbeing of remote NT communities.
- Fully paid locum placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks, based in remote NT communities, with travel and accommodation covered.
- Cultural orientation and 24/7 support to help you transition into remote healthcare.
- Free CPD-accredited eLearning with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
- A chance to develop your skills in a unique healthcare setting and experience the cultural beauty of the region.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Current NT Radiation License or application for NT Radiation License.
- Minimum of 2 years full-time postgraduate clinical experience in a relevant clinical setting.
- Minimum of 250 hours of relevant clinical experience working as a dentist within the past 12 months.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
